Greyhound is leading the way in sustainable recycling solutions for 2009. It's waste management strategies have created tailor-made waste management programmes, helping some customers reap optimum recycling rates in excess of 98% of all waste collected. In particular, its flagship Crag Avenue facility - the largest privately-owned recovery site in Ireland - currently recovers or recycles over 90% of all waste streams processed at the facility, whether through recycling or through the production of its Solid Recovered Fuel - an alternative to fossil fuels such as gas and coal. Coupled with its facility in Limerick, group recycling & recovery rates for 2009 currently stand in excess of 80% of total waste collected.
